How Vicki Case Rose From The Darkness
Hello ALL! Thanks for dropping by.
Tonight, I want to talk about a courageous woman who’s been hurt about as much as anyone can be hurt. Yet, she found a way to rise above the pain.
Vicki Case, an Australian born poet didn’t begin her writing career until she met the love of her life. A man that she will only call, “Eros.”
It was her love for him that sparked her poetic side.
But let me back up a little bit, if you will.
You see, Vicki was already married to a man who didn’t appreciate her. As a matter of fact, it sounds to me like he rather sucked the life out her.
When she met her Eros, it was an illicit love, but he was like a ray of sunshine that helped a flower to bloom. Because, in loving him, Vicki started writing poetry about her love for this man. He helped her to blossom into who she was really meant to be.
She was so very in love with her Eros. They shared many of the same interests. Within the radiance of his love, Vicki’s talent for writing poetry really started to grow.
Eros gave her the courage to leave her husband, which she did amicably.
Her love for her Adonis, as she sometimes called him, only grew deeper and deeper. It felt like she could fly to stars and back.
Then the day came when Eros clipped her wings. He ended their relationship in one of the coldest and most cowardly ways possible. He broke their relationship via a text message.
When Vicki came crashing down from the sky, she fell about as far as anyone in love can fall.
She was in shock for a long time.
While pondering how such a man could build her up so high and give her wings then clip those wings and walk away, Vicki was going through the darkest of Hells.
Through it all, her love for her Eros never waned. Nor did her ability to write poetry.
As she went through some of the darkest depression anyone could ever experience, she kept writing her poetry. It wasn’t happy and euphoric like it once was. It had taken on a dark tone. It became raw and gritty. It came from her heart like her earlier poems. It was the TRUTH about how she felt.
Every day, she’d pour her heart onto a piece of paper via a pen. It kept her going. Over time, she started healing from the sudden departure of her Eros. It wasn’t easy, fact of the matter is, it was probably the hardest thing she’s ever done. Yet, she kept on going, even on the worst of days. Vicki kept writing her poetry.
Has she fully recovered from her heartbreak? Does anyone really recover from a broken heart when you KNOW you’ve found, “The one.”?
I sure haven’t. Even a fella that publishes under the name of, Hamburger Fry has been in love with, “The one.”
Reader: You mean you were her, Eros?
Me: No, it wasn’t me. I’m just saying that even fella like me can understand the pain Vicki’s gone through. You never fully heal from it. You just keep on keeping on. That’s all anyone can do. That’s what Vicki is doing.
Even though she probably still pines for her Eros, she didn’t let all the pain and Hell she went through defeat her.
In the end, she wrote four books of poetry about her journey back to the light from the darkest recesses of depression. You can check them out at this link: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=ntt_athr_dp_sr_1?_encoding=UTF8&field-author=Vicki%20Case&search-alias=digital-text
Each of her poems is a little piece of truth straight from her heart.
One can learn a lot from what Vicki went through.
When you think you’re at the lowest point you’ve ever been at due to a broken heart, you should read one of the books penned by this courageous woman.
My parting thoughts about Vicki and her books of poetry:
Vicki lays her heart upon the pages for all to see. Even during her darkest of times when the pain became so bad she kept writing her poetry.
In her first book, Unconditional Forbidden Love, the poems were already great. They only got better with each book.
With that being said, Vicki is a very brave woman for following her heart. She’s courageous for having the will to come back from such a terrible blow that her Eros dealt her. And she’s very strong for letting the world know about what she went through. She wants others to know, there is life after love.
Thank you for checking out my segment on Vicki Case. With the deepest of respect I thank her for letting me talk about her on my blog.
God bless you Vicki!
To my readers, God bless you too!
I’m exhausted, I did rope skip, push-ups, sit-ups, squats and arm-curls for an hour tonight.
It’s time for this Hamburger to go lay down on his bun… Bed! I mean bed!
Goodnight.
Wait a minute! Before I go, please check out Vicki’s trailer for her first book, Unconditional Forbidden Love, then go check into all of her works on Amazon.com, it’s the link I posted earlier.
Okay, now I’m going to catch a few winks.
Zzz…Zzz…Zzz…

ReplyDeleteJohn, great voice.
ReplyDeleteThank you Clancy! Sorry I haven't replied to your comment until now. My life has taken me away from my writing from time to time. On top of that, I've been re-editing my stories and working on book covers. I'm also getting ready to narrate this article for Vicki.
